Sisterworld

I took these photos on a short hike near my aunt and uncle's cabin in West Virginia. I was by myself on a weekend juice fast, and had spent the prior week listening to Sisterworld, the latest Liars album, on repeat. Basically, I was not in a normal state of mind. Everything was rather surreal, and slightly unsettling. The desolate woods combined with the feeling that I was on brief cosmic journey were strangely reminiscent on the album artwork for Sisterworld. Thus, this photo series was inspired.
